Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 12, 2025
1. Definition of Personal Information
“Personal information” means any data that can identify an individual (such as name or email address) and related information.
2. Information We Collect and Purpose of Use
We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve TubeCast, and use it for the purposes below:
- Account information (e.g., email): account creation, authentication, and service communications.
- Google OAuth data (YouTube channel ID, channel name, access/refresh tokens): uploading videos to the user-authorized YouTube channel and managing publication settings.
- External AI service API keys (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, etc.): provided by users, used only for video generation, stored in encrypted form, and never shared with third parties.
3. Use of Google APIs
TubeCast uses Google OAuth 2.0 and the YouTube Data API to perform user-authorized video uploads and related publishing controls. Requested scopes are limited to the minimum necessary for these functions.
4. Use of External AI Services
TubeCast integrates external AI services (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic Claude) for video generation. Communications with these services use user-provided API keys. Keys are stored in encrypted form, used solely for generation, and are not shared with third parties.
5. Sharing and Disclosure to Third Parties
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may engage vetted service providers (e.g., hosting, email delivery, log/monitoring) only as necessary to operate TubeCast, under confidentiality obligations and appropriate safeguards.
6. Retention and Deletion
We retain information only as long as needed for the stated purposes. When a user disconnects TubeCast from their Google account, authorization tokens are deleted immediately. Related data (such as channel information) is fully deleted when the user performs a deletion action or deletes their account.
7. Your Rights
Users may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of processing of their personal information. Contact us using the details below. We may request information to verify identity before processing a request.
8. Security Measures
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures—such as encryption, access controls, and access logging—to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. Due to the nature of the Internet, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
9. Revoking Access (OAuth)
Users can revoke TubeCast’s access at any time from their Google Account Security settings. Upon revocation—or when the user disconnects within TubeCast—we immediately delete the corresponding authorization data.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies or similar technologies to enhance usability and analyze service usage. Disabling cookies in your browser may limit certain functions.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect legal or service changes. Significant updates will be announced on our official website.
